It’s be excellent if she has the self-esteem and inner strength to leave him, divorce Tiger a.s.a.p.; and get on with her life at some point in the future with a new man who she can trust and respect, who keeps his promises of love and fildelity to her.
She’d be a great role model for ANY woman that it’s better to be single than to be with a cheater !
Please Elin, do the RIGHT thing – leave him. He’ll NEVER be monogamous, and he’ll NEVER give up golf over the long term.

I’m totally behind a woman that has the strength to beat the shit out of her husband with her fists and then bash his window in with the instrument that earned him fame. She has public sentiment behind her and I’m for her becoming a heroine for women everywhere to not put up with demoralizing bullshit in a relationship. Fyi, I’m a man, and a frequent poster as Anonymous in the reply sections of EvilBeet. A guy that many of you typically love to bash.

Honestly I think Ms. Rist conducted herself in a composed and adult manner. I didn’t feel like she was trying to give too much information or get a spot in the limelight. Maybe going on the show wasn’t the best idea, but I can see why she would want to. We see the big picture but we don’t get to see the things she goes through in her community in her everyday life. I’m sure she wants to have things out in the open and settled, once and for all. More than anything I feel like the interviewer was just trying to pry for inappropriate information.

Why do you think that she wanted to go on the show? Nobody knew that she had an affair with him before the inicident. Most people would have never known. She wants a piece of the action.

What else did she have to offer besides inappropriate information? You do know that people are not invited to news interviews unless they are famous, have a story, or something along those lines, right? Did you think they were interested in her everyday community life?

Hopefully this means even if she stays with him for now, that she’s really making him work on his issues. It’s easy to just say break it off, but there are kids, and she’s the only one here with most the information- so more power to her in a difficult situation.

How does a person “work on” the issue of not cheating? I’m not just being snarky here, how do they? Because it seems to me that the easier thing is NOT to seek out other parties to have sex with. The staggering amount of WORK he must have put in to keeping these relationships secret is mind-boggling. If that kind of thing seems thrilling, or fun, or in any way like a good idea to someone, then what exactly is their marriage made of? What IS a marriage without agreed-upon sex rules? (there are people with open marriages, of course, but presumably they agree upon that arrangement). I just feel like, if you can’t hash out what your needs are sexually (if one person demands typical monogamy and the other person, clearly, cannot survive that way) then the marriage simply CANNOT work.

I’m not saying it’s impossible for Tiger to stop being a cheater, but the sheer magnitude and scale of his cheating is so great that it seems really unlikely that he is interested in or capable of monogamy. I hope that he can continue to be a good father to his children, but I’m honestly baffled at the notion that he can ever be a good husband to his wife ever again (“good” in this case meaning the bare minimum of monogamy).

At what point are the “issues” that need to be “worked on” bigger than the relationship itself? Is it even worth being married to someone whose needs are that different than your own? Is it worth it to be married to someone who keeps secrets–or alternatively, is it worth being married to someone who you feel the need to keep secrets from?

Shoot…this Tiger Woods shit has gotten me thinking seriously about the nature of relationships… creepy.
