“During this very difficult time we will be working to focus solely on the needs of our family.  This includes no longer commenting publicly or reacting to media stories and speculation.  Our goal is to do the very best for our children and that will be done as privately as possible.  We appreciate the understanding, support and well wishes from so many. Thank you.”

Jon and Kate Gosselin’s statement as posted on the TLC website.  Thank God!  Finally!  Oh, man…what will we all write about now?

  • I notice they didn’t say anything about quitting the show.
It kinda sounded like she said, “we don’t want to deal with cameras that aren’t paying to follow us around.

  • Oh, NOW they understand the importance of privacy, especially when young children are involved..

  • Yeah… all that. OR, you can QUIT THE FUCKING SHOW AND GET YOUR KIDS OUT OF THE PUBLIC’S EYES.

  • Michael Jackson’s death knocks them off the covers for a few days so they generate press to remind us they are no longer commenting publicly or reacting to do the very best for their children.

    Lame.

  • I am thinking that TLC hired a “crisis PR” group to stop the madness of the parents trying to throw each other under the bus.

And that new person told them to shut the h*ll up… or else. And the new PR person actually wrote that press release.

There is no way Mother Dearest wants to shut up. She is determined to make him out as the bad guy and how she never did anything wrong to him.

(And People Magazine is happy to let her do it… I wonder how much they paid her for cover?)

I suspect TLC is working on retooling the image of the show, as how to work through an ugly divorce and keep the ratings up.

  • If these two fame whores would just STFU period it’d be a blessing. God, forbid, Kate not prance around in front of the paps to get her daily affirmation. Then we have Jon rolling out of bars at closing. Such a lovely couple. Help them find the gutters they crawled out of and help them back to their home with the rest of the trash.
