I was never on Oxycontin or Vicodin or anything like that. I was on nerve medicine and anti-inflammatories.”
Paula Abdul in a Nightline interview in which she defends her frequently erratic behavior. Oh, and when Nightline did ask for consent to view her medical records, as per her offer, Paula declined.

why would anyone in their right mind, or Paula Abdul, give up their medical records to a news organization…HELLO!!?
She’s never taken painkillers? She doesn’t know what she is missing.
She’s never been DRUNK? That’s the part I find hard to believe.

If Paula Abdul had to give up her narcotics, she would start melting. Real talk.
Ok, what I don’t get– how the F did she live YEARS with horrifying pain and never thought that, f it, I should take some pain killers that my doctor would prescribe. THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE FOR, Paula. Total bullshit. Her not taking pain killers, even for pain, is ridic. That just makes her story that much more implausible.
I remember an interview she did years ago where she admitted taking Vicodin (yummy!) for her back. Um…Paula, hun? Just because YOU can’t remember what you’ve said doesn’t mean WE can’t. And frankly, I don’t CARE what you’re taking–just don’t LIE about it! It only makes you look dumb as well as drunk off your ass. o_O
