Phelpsy’s Not Dating Miss California!!!

michael_phelps_omega

Oh, happy day! After Miss California was all like, “Well I miiiight be dating Michael Phelps, but I’m not telling because I’m a douchebag,” Phelpsy himself stepped in to deny the rumors. BAM! BITCH GOES DOWN!

“I’m not dating anybody,” he said Wednesday at the opening of the Omega flagship boutique in NYC. “I’m single. My private life stays private.”

And as for her answer to the gay marriage question?

“That’s the cool thing about America – everybody has their opinion,” he said. “I’m not saying I support her. I’m not saying I don’t support her.” Oh, come on, Phelpsy! You should openly support gay marriage! If someone wants to be legally wed to a size 14 penis, they should be granted that right, regardless of whether they’re man or woman.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump — who owns the Miss Universe organization — is finally weighing in on the controversy. “Miss California has done a wonderful job, that was her belief,” he said. “It wasn’t a bad answer, that was simply her belief.” Trump added that Prejean’s question was “a bit unlucky,” arguing that no matter how she answered the question “she was going to get killed.” Agreed.

  • I’m so sick of hearing about this “controversy.” Seriously, the chick gave an honest answer to a question she was asked and she’s getting her ass kicked over it because it wasn’t the answer a lot of people want to hear. I may not agree with her but she has the right to believe what she wants to believe and at least she’s honest about it.

  • This is by far the best photo I have ever seen of Beet’s beloved.

Anyway, I’m tired of hearing about this too. Miss California may be a dumb bigot (a real big apology to other dumb bigots who are offended by this classification) but it was really unfair for the question to be asked in the first place. And Perez Hilton is an annoying bitch.

  • I seriously don’t understand when people say that they may not support Miss California on her stand on gay marriage but applaud her honesty! People believed in slavery too! In India caste system is still rampant and people genuinly believe that “inferior” caste people are just that – INFERIOR! That is their belief! It’s even in the scriptures! Does that make it right? No! Hell NO! What does it make a person who believes in the caste system (coz their religion promotes it) — A Bigot!

And no one absolutely NO ONE should support or accept something that promotes intolerance!

  • Your comparing being against gay marriage to slavery? She didn’t say round up all the homos and lock them in a cage. Get a grip, drama queen.

    • That’s not a comparison. It’s an example! Of intolerance based on belief in one case and religion in the other. And the treatment doesn’t have to literally the same even if I was making a comparison!

(And even if I am a drama queen, atleast I have my ethics ans semantics right!)

  • ZOMG Beet, you’re actually not beating up Miss California in this post for sticking true to her beliefs! Five stars. Because I’m seriously getting sick of hearing about the entire issue.

I live in Canada, and gay marriage is accepted. I fully support it. But it’s people that don’t respect other’s beliefs and put them down just because of their religion and whatnot that really grinds my gears. It makes me angry, quite simply. I don’t hate people that don’t support gay marriage. I fully support her. No matter what. It’s unfortunate, but I’m not going to become less of a person by bad-mouthing her. She’s brave, and I respect that. Unlike YOUR “hateful answer.”

  • Egads, he’s just ugly.

Last week, I went to my first same-sex marriage. A little more religion than I care for – there was a civil ceremony then an anglican mass (thank God not a long Catholic mass) – and the grooms (??) made mention in their program about those that couldn’t be with them, either because they were dead or didn’t support it. It was a beautiful ceremony and they made a damn fine looking couple.

My problem was being in a room full of gay guys. I’m blond with a great rack and great legs. It took me forever to make my way through the crowd, nobody got out of my way when I needed to pass and nobody jumped when I sneezed. It was annoying but my husband laughed at me. Bastard.
