  1. Ayla of No People says:

The babies are cute and almost look identical.. I just want to know why baby boys are both wearing bracelets on their right wrists? That seems a bit strange to me.

  2. lolly says:

why should all gay people have to be spokespeople for gayness? maybe he just wants to be gay and leave it at that.

  3. KitKat says:

Didnt he come out like a few months ago? Wtf?

  4. Briana says:

wait… he didnt come out like 9 years ago?? Im totally serious- I thought it was like, a fact.. you know?

  5. kale. says:

i was just reading the other celebrity blogs and i saw this one like 3,486 times and i was thinking thank god beet didnt post this crap.

    …oh.

  6. PoliteTia says:

I never fell for the one-hit-wonder Ricky Martin. I hope he is up to the task of fatherhood. Children do need a Mom. Wonder where she is? Does the Mom get to see her children?

  7. Chris says:

The babies are adorable! He looks totally thrilled. I’m happy for him. I agree, it would be great if he would be the first one to make the big step and say “Here I am, I have 2 babies, I’m gay, so what.” The more exposure of single/married/partnered gays having families, the more the acceptance will follow.

PS The babies are so cute it almost makes me want to have one. Almost.

  8. 00zoey says:

they’re amazingly cute! I get your point but I kind of agree with lolly on this one.

  9. Lindsay says:

those are effing ugly kids. wtf is wrong with you guys? =S

  10. just me says:

It is very common for Latins and also Italians (both of my family) for boy babies to wear gold bracelets and for girl babies to have their ears pierced.

  11. Mercy says:

Dear god, I love that movie. I would love it way more if there was less (re: none) of Rip Torn’s penis (or maybe less teenage girls calling it “daddy”), but hey, we can’t have everything.

  12. ThatLisa says:

I want to work at film.com

I think those babies are so damned cute (especially in the other pictures!). I wanna pinch their lil cheeks.

I wish he would come out, but whatever. it’s his life. I am glad he is happy with his widdle babies.

  13. Horse says:

    Heh. That’s a nice title.

  14. joan says:

i just want to say officially that i love david bowie.

  15. GumMachine says:

in latin cultures it’s considered good luck to wear gold, that’s why you see a lot of latin kids wearing gold bracelets, necklaces, earrings, etc. it’s not just some gaudy statement.

  16. Leslie says:

Ok.. I need to breathe. Beet, I love you, so I say this with love. America is beautiful, it’s my home and I am in no way shape or form attacking my country. Just because Ricky was a one hit wonder here in the USA it does not mean he is not a superstar out there in the other countries that also exist on this planet we call earth. He is actually had a career for decades now and he continues to be very, very succesful. Google it. It may not be in English, but that doesn’t mean its not valid. You probably also think Enrique Iglesias and Shakira are sitting at home playing Sudoku. Trust me they are not.

  17. Judy says:

I fear adopting children has become like getting one of those small dogs that you carry in your purse. Let’s remember people that these are very small human beings and not just a fashion accessory.

    • ThatLisa says:

I don’t think he wanted a fashion accessory. And he didn’t even adopt them. He was planning a family. He used a surrogate mother. A lot of thought and time goes into stuff like that.

  18. NN says:

I definitely have to agree with Leslie on this one…

  19. katie says:

Ricky Martin is not cool enough to blog about!

  20. Marco de Rieli says:

kudos to Ricky… congrats on the babies, they’re ever cute! who cares if he came out or not, why is that always an issue, it’s his life and no one else’s… believe in only you! if your able to believe in others
