Today's Evil Beet Gossip

Fun with YouTube: Heart, “Alone”

I don’t even know why. I just heard it today for the first time in forever and I was like “Oh my God this song is totally epic.”

  • The 80s simultaneously fascinate and horrify me.

    *downloads the Essential Heart collection*

What about love? Don’t you want someone to care about youuuuuuuuu……Beet, you’re in big trouble for this.

  • So afraid to show a ful body shot of Anne.

I watched an interview with the very fucking HOT Chris Cornell from SOundgarden where he said the shit she took for the weight was disgusting. She could still belt out her songs and that the american public and critics would have NEVER gone after Aretha Franklin for her weight. Aretha can still whale, but Anne gains some weight and everyone starts talking shit.

  • Who cares what she wieghs, she’s got a voice that still rocks better than most of the no-talent wanna be singers today. Gonna go see Heart this weekend and it’s going to be a blast!

  • Man… all I could think the entire video was how f’n HOT she was..!!!

And that song reminds me so much of me wanting someone I cant f’n have… sad.. and epic! Thanks for sharing this one!

  • I love Heart! I remember I had a friend whose mom would listen to them all the time when we were kids. And then this past weekend, Heart was playing a show nearby along with Journey and Cheap Trick. If I wasn’t so pregnant, I would have totally gone to see them…

  • Thank you so much Beet! Love, love, love Heart!!

I wanna know when the ’80s hair and make-up are coming back…I am just thismuch to young to have really enjoyed that era. Granted, I did rock the big hair and I did wear the one long earring and one short earring but only when mom wasn’t around. I wanna rock the big hair and the outrageous make-up! When is it coming back!!

  • @HeartFan. I just saw Heart in concert in OKC with Cheap Trick and Journey. 5th time I’ve seen them. Fantastic show you will love it!

  • Love Heart, but prefer their 70s stuff–Barracuda, Magic Man, Crazy on You, Dreamboat Annie. They used too many synthesizers in the 80s.

  • Ann Wilson needs to retire and they need to take her off the radio. I remember when I went out for a ‘Thursty Thurdsay’ night out and had to wake up at 6:30 a.m. the next morning. The radio station was doing a double 2, in which they played two songs from the same band back-to-back. Ann was screaming ‘Baracuda’ & then she screamed ‘Crazy on You’ when my alarm clock went off as I was suffering from a horrible hangover. Try it and you will find you HATE that woman.
