Congrats to Lindsay Lohan, whose Saturday morning Twitter freakout was, it turns out, in vain. Lindsay won’t be returning to jail, at least not yet.
The warrant for her arrest was dropped.
After the star’s attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, arrived at a Beverly Hills courthouse early this morning for a meeting with Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel, they emerged around 8:55 a.m. and announced that Friday’s $50,000 warrant relating to her May 2007 DUI arrest was wiped clear.
“This was really much ado about nothing,” Holley told reporters. “As I indicated over the weekend, there was just a misunderstanding. Ms. Lohan has been in compliance [with the terms of her probation] and she continues to be in compliance.”
Well, good for you, Lindsers. I still think you’re headed back to rehab in the foreseeable future, even if it isn’t going to be this week.

Lindsay may be way dramatic and a bit of a hot mess but she doesn’t deserve the barrel of negativity over the weekend when this was all down to a technicality.

I thought being arrested might possibly help straighten her out a bit. Look at her career before (circa Mean Girls) and now (I Know Who Killed Me).
But whatever. It’s her decision to do whatever the hell she wants. Personally, I just think it’s sad what’s happened to her potential.
I agree, this young lady can sing, act, and dance, but has done very little with her career in the past 5 years. I believe she is drinking again, and know for a fact Samantha is drinking while she’s DJ’s, so both of them are very much in their disease.
Well clearly she’s alcohol/drug free if not she’ll be in jail right now thoug I can say that she seems a little bit emotionally unstable, she’s shown that she find it difficult to restrain her emotions even if she’s being filmed.
the outcome was obvious. the district attorny could have contacted lohans lawyer on friday and this would never had happened- the lapd did a good job but sounds like someone at district attornies office

What’s really sad is that the only interesting thing about her is the collection of boots. She’s made such a mess of things I don’t think anyone will ever hire her again. Who would really want to see a movie with her in it at this point? Suspension of disbelief is no longer possible….
Can we perhaps pretend she went to jail or even visited Mexico and was kidnapped by a drug cartel never to be heard from again…. and then maybe Beet could actually write about something interesting for a chance besides the same 5 celebrities day after day.

All kidding aside, it’s clear that this girl has problems. She’s back to partying like it’s 2007 all over again. I hope that she can get help before she hurts herself or some innocent person. Also, I hope that she and Sam can stick together. They seem to really love one another.
