You may have noticed that when Emma Stone took the stage to receive her best actress oscar there was a moment of confusion. Not just because Emma’s dress had torn, but because Michelle, the presenter, gave the award to Jennifer Lawrence and not Emma. There’s a reason for that.
Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone have been best friends for years and Michelle thought having her best friend hand her the award would be more special than if she had.
Emma took to instagram to explain:
“Congratulations Emma!! I confused you, but I wanted to share that glorious moment of handing over Oscar to you together with your best friend Jennifer!! She reminded me of my Bae Jamie Lee Curtis ??? always there for each other!! ???,” Yeoh wrote in her post.
The gesture made for one of many magical moments that night and I just love those two together as besties.
