Rick Moranis, if you don’t know, is a rather beloved actor from Ghostbusters, Little Shop of Horrors, Honey I shrunk the Kids and a whole host of other films and tv. Last month, while he was minding his own business, walking down 72nd street in New York City, a deranged man ran up and punched him in the head for no reason.
That’s not conjecture. The entire thing is on film and the two men had zero interaction as the attack began.
Police put out an APB and asked the public to help ID the attacker, but few thought there would be an arrest. But despite all the crime and lunacy plaguing NYC right now, this guy was caught!
Police say Marquis Ventura was apprehended and later arrested on suspicion of assault in the second degree, which includes the allegation that he had “intent to cause serious physical injury to another person.”
Further details about the suspect, including whether he has retained a lawyer, were not immediately known.
