A new Madonna documentary in the works is getting some added cred since ex boyfriend Dan Gilroy. Way back around 79′-82′ Madonna was living with her boyfriend, Dan, in an old synagogue in Queens, NY. Dan was in a band called The Breakfast Club, which never amounted to anything in the US, but had some hits overseas.
Gilroy handed ‘deeply personal’ letters, photographs and recordings Madonna made in the bedroom to filmmaker Guy Guido. The film will use the information to do little reenactments, because just telling everyone the most intimate details of your private moments isn’t salacious enough. Let’s show you using, and we quote, “sweet little love notes that she would leave for Dan” and “very poetic love letters expressing her feelings for him and the struggles of their relationship”, according to Guido.
“There are some intimate things, but at this point they’re ready to share. Especially Dan — he’s been holding this in a very long time,” Guido told Page Six. The director also said that while young Madonna’s relationship with Gilroy is the “meat” of the movie, it also explores her ferocious ambition and drive to make it in the music business. Guido said he hopes to be finished working on the film by January 2017, and that a major distributor will release it.
Interestingly, Madge posted a picture of herself from 1979 on her Instagram just last week. I love my girl, but I wouldn’t put it passed her to be in on the “leak”.
