It was such a tragedy when Bobbi Kristina Brown fell into a coma and passed away last year. After having lost Whitney Houston way too early to drugs, seeing her daughter, who was only 21, cut her own life short in pretty much the same way was really devastating. Now, Bobby Brown has spoken out a year later, admitting in a new interview with 20/20 that he and Whitney weren’t very good parents to Bobbi and he feels as though they failed her.
“We could have been better. We should have been better.”
“It’s not a mystery to me. The same thing that happened to my daughter is what happened to Whitney,” Brown told Roberts.
“The last thing I told her, I just said, ‘Let go.’ I said, ‘It’s OK, you can go with your mom, daddy’ll be all right. I love you. You can rest now,'” Brown said. “Hardest thing I had to do in my life was tell my daughter to let go…. I don’t wish that on my worst enemy or any enemy. That is the worst pain in the world.”
It’s really sad that this family has been so destroyed by drugs. The same very nearly happened to Bobby himself (and frankly, I’m not entirely sure he’s out of the woods on that front).
