Chris Brown and Rihanna‘s relationship has inspired their very own episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Law & Order: SVU, like the other Law & Order shows, is known for having episodes that are “ripped from the headlines.”
Here’s NBC‘s description of the episode posted with the promo on YouTube.
Law and Order SVU 14×16 “Funny Valentine” – A promising singer is brutally attacked by her boyfriend, a popular hip hop star. ADA Barba (guest star Raul Esparza) works to build a case, but the victim refuses to aid the prosecution and, despite Detective Benson’s (Mariska Hargitay) best efforts, continues to put herself in danger. The case quickly spirals into a media circus, perpetrated by both the defendant and his uncompromising attorney (guest star Tambor).
Naturally this YouTube page is exploding with comments. I think my favorite comment is from the user “IAmPlaysWithSquirrel” (sweet Boy Meets World reference!),
“The preceding story was fictional. No actual person or event was depicted.”
The episode will air next Wednesday, the 27th, on NBC at 9/8 central. You can watch the promo below.

Oh, no! B.D. Wong confirmed via Twitter that he is leaving Law & Order: SVU for greener pastures. The Tony award-winning actor originated the role of forensic psychiatrist George Huang, who audiences could count on for reliable textbook explanations of weird mental illnesses.
In commemoration of 11 years of Dr. George Huang, here’s a video of B.D. Wong singing a Tori Amos song.

According to the New York Times, NBC “quietly announced” that Mr. Meloni will be leaving the show at the end of this season because his team and the network couldn’t come to an agreement regarding his contract. I’m not sure how it’s even possible that they could axe the show’s greatest (and sexiest) character over what’s probably toilet paper money for the NBC in the grand scheme of things.
Maybe it wasn’t the money. Maybe it was the idea that he’d potentially have to look Jennifer Love Hewitt in the face every day and not laugh.
I’m going to call it now though: Stabler’s final episode will be him getting the book thrown at him for beating up yet another pedophile. Actually, maybe he’ll go all the way and kill ‘em. The show sure could use that kinda drama going in to what will probably be its last season.

I know, I’m so bad at these guessing games! You didn’t even have to wait till the first paragraph to learn that Jennifer Love Hewitt is in talks to join the cast of Law and Order: SVU. I’m sorry I took that fun away from you.
But this isn’t about the game, this is about the cold hard fact that one of my favorite shows, SVU, is about to absolutely ruin itself. Granted, I think it’s been going downhill since my elderly man crush, Richard Belzer, stopped being a regular, but this is serious. It turns out that Mariska Hargitay and Christopher Meloni have grown weary of solving sex crimes since ’99; Mariska’s character is getting a promotion within the precinct so she won’t have to work as much while Meloni himself is getting a raise. Detective Stabler can’t be without a partner though, and that’s where Jennifer comes in!
Nothing’s set yet, at this point these are just rumors, but here’s what’s up: this show is winding down, you know? It’s been twelve years, and things have gotten a little silly lately – it’s time to say goodbye. And what better way to ruin something than to heavily involve Jennifer Love Hewitt? Smart move, NBC.

I saw these photos and I had to share them with you because they are like, such a moment in time. It’s Ann-Margret celebrating her Emmy Nomination (a couple weeks late?) with the stars of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit. These photos are more or less everything I love about entertainment in one photo: old school babes, sex crimes, Christopher Meloni and beautiful flowers. If Nicki Minaj could rap over these photos, they’d be perfect. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did.
