Nooooo, how could this be happening? How could true love die?!?! Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough, the American Idol generation’s one shining beacon of everlasting love (LOL) and a possible example of proper bearding techniques are no longer together. This actually does kind of suck, ‘cos they were sort of weirdly adorable together, in that way that those stuffed animasl an ex won you at a carnival that’re now sitting in a trash bag in your basement is. If you want to know what the hell I’m talking about, good luck, because I don’t know either.

In any case, US Weekly reports that the split was probably amicable but was definitely due to the distance – after all, with both living and working in Los Angeles and the traffic on the 405 being shitty pretty much all hours of the day, it’s too much ground to cover, too much adversity to overcome.

And the notoriously busy Hollywood pair, who began dating in 2010, may have their packed schedules to blame.

“Honestly, their schedules were too hectic,” a source tells Us. “It just got to be too much. I think they both just sort of knew they couldn’t do it anymore. The travel and lifestyle got to be too much. Who knows if this is just for now, but I think this is for good.”

In all seriousness, relationships do require the people in them to, you know, have time together and maybe their careers are making that impossible, so whatevs. I’ll try to dry my tears, here.

7OK, So Is He Gay, Or Is He Not Gay?

I’m just so torn and confused. Ryan Seacrest, who’s actually grown on me over the years, was photographed earlier in the week, sauntering wait, no, straight guys don’t saunter walking along the beach with Dancing With the Stars Julianne Hough. The two look cozy, and Seacrest doesn’t look all that pleased to be photographed, which is surprising, considering who he is and what he does for a living.

This isn’t the first time the two have been linked — they were said to have attended a “cozy” dinner a few months back where the two shared “intimate kisses.”

Well, either way, sweet. I love Ryan. And if he’s happy, then I’m happy. And if he’s dating Julianne Hough, great, and if he’s using her as a decoy in order to get into her brother Derek’s much-tighter pants, so be that, too.

10Burlesque: Lookin’ Good So Far

Christina Aguilera looked stunning rocking that wig/glasses/scarf combo while shooting a scene for her upcoming movie, Burlesque. Of course Christina Aguilera is in a movie called burlesque (so are Kristen Bell and Julianne Hough.) I don’t even think of the Pussycat Dolls when I hear that word, I think of X-Tina, who took her fascination with the artform to an all time high a couple years ago when practically everything she wore looked like it belonged on the stage of some Hollywood speakeasy back in the day. The description of the film from IMDB is as follows: “A small-town girl ventures to Los Angeles and finds her place in a neo-burlesque club run by a former dancer.” Hmmm. I like the idea of a burlesque film and if she’s singing it in, I am for sure watching, but the plot summary kinda makes this sound like Glitter II.

2Let’s Get The Sad Updates Out of the Way

In kinda sad news, singer and Dancing With The Stars pro Julianne Hough has split from country singer Chuck Wicks.  I thought these two were an adorable couple that were going to go the distance.  Last December, Hough told People “The minute we met it was perfect.  The first date we had we both had that feeling like we were going to fall in love with each other.”  Sigh.

In much sadder news, after announcing her pregnancy in August, Celine Dion is no longer pregnant.  A family source confirmed that though she and her husband Rene Angelil are “actively trying” they are not expecting at this time.  The loss of a pregnancy is so hard to deal with.  I hope that they will find comfort in all that they do have.

It has been widely reported that the couple conceived their son Rene-Charles as well as the pregnancy that was reported this summer through fertility treatments.  Good luck wishes to the couple in their quest to expand their family.

30Did Julianne Hough Have Work Done?

Maybe it’s just verrrry different makeup, but I hardly recognized Julianne Hough at the Country Music Awards nominations this morning.

For comparison, here’s what Julianne looked like in November 2008:

And, conspicuously, I couldn’t find any photos of her for the end of December and the entire month of January.

Where was she hiding? And why???

I thought she was really, really pretty to start out with.
