For the last three years, Heather Matarazzo—she starred in Welcome to the Dollhouse—has been engaged to her special friend, Caroline Murphy. And now that same-sex marriage is legal in New York state, the couple is really going to do it!

But not right away! They plan to take time in planning their nuptials. Caroline Murphy, to the AP: “I always wanted a wedding. Not a trip to City Hall.”

One bride plans to wear a dress; the other bride, a white pantsuit, “but a sexy one.” (Matarazzo will be the one in the dress.)

Heather Matarazzo and her fiancee Carolyn Murphy showed up together at the NYC screening of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button.

The two got engaged in July, but weren’t married before Prop 8 passed.

Hopefully they’ll have a chance to get married soon!

Congrats to 25-year-old Heather Matarazzo, who just got engaged to her girlfriend, Carolyn Murphy.

“It was really cute. First Heather proposed to Carolyn, then Carolyn proposed to her,” said Heather’s publicist. She says it was “it was love at first sight” for the twosome, who have been together over a year.

That’s an eternity in Hollywood years!
