Alfonso Ribeiro May Have To Drop Out Of “Dancing with the Stars” — NOOOOOO

alfonso-ribeiro-800

This one is hitting me hard, you guys. Alfonso Ribeiro, AKA “Carlton” from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air has been absolutely killing it on Dancing with the Stars, but may not be for much longer. He really injured himself, and it’s all thanks to performing his signature move, “The Carlton”, on the show (skip to 2:24 for the full-on dance):

TMZ has an exclusive:

Our DWTS sources say Ribeiro injured his back during rehearsal Wednesday night as he tried to overcompensate for a groin injury which he suffered on the show, performing his signature move.

The back injury is bad — he’s having trouble even walking. Alfonso skipped rehearsals Thursday so he could get an MRI.

Doctors are telling him the next 48 hours are critical, but they say there’s a real chance he can’t dance.

NOOOOO. Mr. Ribeiro is a front-runner for the mirrorball trophy and a fan favorite. He’s gotta pull through!

As you can tell, I’m way into Dancing with the Stars this season, and I feel no personal shame or guilt about this. Since we haven’t had a DWTS post in a while, let’s have one now. Who are you rooting for? Who do you want gone? Personally I want Janel and Val gone. So over their fake showmance bullshit.

ALFONSO FOR THE WIN!!!

Do You Guys Miss The Fresh Prince of Bel Air as Much as I Do?

A photo of the cast of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air

If you do, then you might not want to look at this picture taken last week, because damn, the Banks family is looking kind of rough.

In this picture, we have little Tatyana Ali, all grown up, Karyn Parsons, Alfonso Ribeiro, who is always a good time, James Avery, and Will Smith, who you don’t need an update on.

What do you think this family has been up to since we last saw them, 15 years ago? Did Ashley ever become famous? Did Hilary’s talk show do well in New York? Did Carlton like Princeton? Did Will ever get with Tyra Banks? WHERE’S GEOFFREY?

Everyone We Cared About In The 80′s and 90′s Sings “Let It Be”

Ok, I know “everyone we cared about in the 80′s and 90′s” is a pretty large group, and granted, there is not a single Spice Girl in the video, but it’s still a solid representation.  Jason Alexander. Ricki Lake. Norm from Cheers, Theo from The Cosby Show. Carlton from Fresh Prince breaks it down.  What’s that? Those names are enough for your highfalutin tastes? Fair enough.  What if I told you that Glenn Close and Right Said Fred are also involved?  Still not enough?  Fine.  SMFG is there. That’s right, Steve Motherfucking Guttenberg.  And I defy you to name someone more important.

But really, I defy you.  I’m not saying that Steve Guttenberg was the most influential actor of the 80′s and 90′s (even though in a different, very correct sense I am definitely saying that), I’m just wondering what your favorite appearance in the video was.  I care about what you care about, and that’s why our relationship works.

CARLTON!!!

Sorry, you guys know how excited I get about photos of Alfonso Ribeiro. I don’t know why. I just do.

Carlton hit up a party in Puerto Rico this weekend, along with Joey Fatone and Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who seems to be popping up everywhere these days now that she’s single. Good for her.

No Time for Makeup! Too Busy Drinking!

This new set of photos of Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong makes me very happy. Mostly because Kate seems to be acting and looking like a regular person. She’s not wearing a ton of makeup, her hair isn’t really styled, and she’s not in camera-ready mode. And she’s still a very pretty girl, but she looks human. She looks like a normal, pretty girl and not like a starlet. She looks — dare I say it? — imperfect. And it makes me feel better about myself, because maybe if I had a full-time hair and makeup team before I went to events I could look like a starlet too. Not saying I’m as pretty as Kate — I am fully aware that I am not — but something about these photos just makes me feel more okay about being a mere mortal. Celebrities: they’re mortals, too!

Oh, and to make matters even better? Alfonso Ribeiro was there! I’m always so happy when Carlton is anywhere with photographers. I love Carlton.
