SNL Alum Bill Hader will have the lead roll of the car, with Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary), Bowen Yang (SNL), Xochitl Gomez (Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness), Matt Berry (What We Do in The Shadows) and Paula Pell (Girls5eva) in supporting rolls.
A global theatrical release of March 6, 2026 has been set. In this new feature version, directed and written by Alessandro Carloni and Erica Rivinoja, The Cat takes on his toughest assignment yet… to cheer a pair of siblings struggling with their move to a new town.
The Cat in the Hat was first published in 1957. Universal made a 2003 live-action version of the children’s book starring Mike Myers in the lead role; that movie grossing over $133M worldwide.

Artists in continuing greater numbers are dropping out of the SXSW festival in Austin Texas. The reason? US Military is one of the festival's biggest event sponsors and that's fucked up.
At first it was just a singer songwriter who works under the name "Squirrel Flower" (real name Ella Williams) who dropped out stating the US's support of Israels attack on Palestine is something they couldn't rectify supporting and if the US militaries was a supporter of her show she would be a sell out.
“A music festival should not include war profiteers. I refuse to be complicit in this and withdraw my art and labor in protest,” Williams said in an Instagram post.
Since then several other bands and speakers have dropped out.
Probably none you know, but honestly, that makes a larger statement to me. They need this gig more than the big names that wont back out.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott responded to the protest in a social media post Tuesday, saying, “Bye. Don’t come back.”
“We are proud of the U.S. military in Texas. If you don’t like it, don’t come here,” Abbott said on X.
“We fully respect the decision these artists made to exercise their right to free speech,” one of the festival’s posts reads. SXSW organizers went on to defend their decision to accept the sponsors.
“The defense industry has historically been a proving ground for many of the systems we rely on today. These institutions are often leaders in emerging technologies, and we believe it’s better to understand how their approach will impact our lives. The Army’s sponsorship is part of our commitment to bring forward ideas that shape our world,”the string of SXSW posts reads.
SXSW drew more than 340,000 attendees last year, organizers have said, and generally hosts a sprawling lineup of conferences, panels, music showcases, film screenings and exhibitions. Its events this year have included panels with actress Selena Gomez; Meghan, Duchess of Sussex; and investor Mark Cuban.
The festival continues to “support human rights for all,” SXSW’s posts read.

By now everyone knows that Ellen Degeneres and wife Portia DeRossi love buying and selling homes. They take already beautiful properties and turn them into masterpieces that sell for millions. This time they've taken far less than asking.
The property sits on 8 acres of stunning tree filled land with a 6,500 square foot home known as Pompeiian Court and a beautiful pool. There aren't many photos of the property, but the ones we have are gorgeous.

If you didn't know, there have been a bunch of rumors circling the internet about Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton.
Back in January Kate went in for an abdominal procedure that was to keep her out of action for two weeks and then on hard rest back at home. This would keep her off any official duties till Easter.
But the internet noticed that no one had seen her at all in months. Not going into the hospital or coming out. Then Prince William backed out of delivering a reading at the funeral of his godfather and people's speculations went wild about his possibly needing to be by her side. Or worse, a rocky marriage was falling apart and the two were living separately.
Well now the Palace is addressing those rumors. Something it almost never does.
A spokesperson for Princess Kate said, "We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant."
The spokesperson reiterated the princess is "doing well."
Of course, this isn't likely to ease anyone's mind as people are as trusting of the royal family as they are of the US government. Like not.
I guess only time will tell.
