Tiffany Haddish bombs on NYE stage

Like many people on New Year’s Eve, Tiffany Haddish had a night she’d probably like to forget.

While performing to a sold-out audience at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Haddish reportedly bombed so hard on Monday night, several fans got up and walked out of the comedy show.

“This is going to be on TMZ or whatever,” the “Girls Trip” actress-comedian told the unhappy patrons.

Haddish — who confirmed the report on Tuesday, saying, “Yes this happened…I wish it was better Miami” — apparently forgot several of her jokes, and the ones she did recall, like her mother being in a mental institution or her friends asking for money, reportedly fell flat.

Haddish had previously admitted to partying the night before until 7 in the morning.

“This is weird for me,” Haddish said during the New Year’s show before grabbing a bottle of Ciroc and drinking onstage as she invited audience members to tell jokes as the hecklers and boos grew louder.

“F–k it,” she said. “I really wanted to talk about some stuff and can’t remember none of it.”

‘Absolutely Fabulous’ actress June Whitfield dies at 93

Dame June Whitfield, known for her work on “Terry and June,” the “Carry On” movies and “Absolutely Fabulous” has died.

The BBC is reporting that Whitfield died on Friday night at 93.

Whitfield’s career touched just about every part of the entertainment industry from early radio comedies, acting in the “Carry On” films, to co-leading the beloved BBC sitcom “Terry and June” that ran from 1979 to 1987. She kept working long into her career even appearing in the 1998 London-based “Friends” episode, the new revamped episodes of “Doctor Who” starring David Tennant and landing a recurring role of Gran/Mother in Jennifer Saunders’ “Absolutely Fabulous.” She also continued to appear on radio, voicing Agatha Christie’s Miss Marple for nine years on the BBC Radio 4.

When Whitfield was appointed with the honor of damehood at the age of 92, Charles, Prince of Wales told her this celebration had been “some time coming.” He wasn’t the only royal fan of Whitfield. Her Majesty the Queen once did an impression for Whitfield mimicking the actresses’ voice from the 1953 radio comedy “Take It From Here.”

Angelina Jolie not ruling out political career

Angelina Jolie hinted Friday that she might enter politics – and even seek the White House.

“If you asked me 20 years ago, I would’ve laughed… I always say I’ll go where I’m needed, I don’t know if I’m fit for politics… but then I’ve also joked that I don’t know if I have a skeleton left in my closet,” the 43-year-old Hollywood actress said in an interview with the BBC’s “Today.”

“I am pretty open and out there. I can take a lot on the chin. That’s good. I honestly will do whatever I think can really make change,” she told host Justin Webb.

The California-born humanitarian and special envoy the UN Refugee Agency discussed a wide range of issues, including social media, sexual violence and the global refugee crisis – but also waded into politics.

“Right now I am able to work with a UN agency to do a lot of work directly with people in need,” she said.

“I’m also able to work with governments and I’m also able to work with militaries, and so I sit in a very interesting place of being able to get a lot done without a title and without it being about myself or my policies,” she continued.

Jolie added that “for now,” she would stay quiet.

That comment prompted Webb to press her on whether she could be on the list for the Democrats’ next presidential nomination, she coyly replied: “Thank you.”

And when asked about the rise of nationalism under President Trump and his pursuit of an “America First” agenda, Jolie drew a distinction between patriotism and “narrow nationalism.”

“I am a patriot but I am also an internationalist and I love and value other people and other countries,” she said.

“To be a patriot is to be very proud of your country and even your country first but you do not think your country is better than others.”

Chris Brown hit with criminal charges for pet monkey

Monkeys shouldn’t be pets, says the city of Los Angeles. Singer Chris Brown will be walking into the new year facing criminal charges: two counts of having a restricted species without a permit, reports TMZ. Brown, 29, sparked controversy when he brought home a baby capuchin monkey named Fiji in the fall of 2017. He swiftly drew criticism after posting an adorable video of his daughter, Royalty, then just 3, with the monkey. Brown fought back against naysayers crying out for the girl’s safety. He claimed the monkey wasn’t for her but was his pet. As a response to the outcry, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife launched an investigation. Before the situation could get out of control, Brown gave up the monkey. It’s unclear where Fiji now lives. If convicted, Brown could face up to six months in jail. He’s set to appear in court on February 6. />Monkeys shouldn’t be pets, says the city of Los Angeles. Drew Barrymore may be rich and have lots of resources, but life can still be hard for her too. “What I can’t hide is that some days are difficult and not so pretty,” she captioned a set of two pictures – one with complete makeup and the other without any on and tears streaming down her face. “I realize I am lucky with solvable problems and my gratitude is never ending,” the 43-year-old actress added. “But sometimes life can just get to you and take you down for a minute!” She ended her post with a call for resilience. “But we cry and then pick ourselves up and put one foot in front of the other,” she said. “Can anyone relate?”
