The trailer for the new Kristen Stewart/Dakota Fanning flick The Runaways was released this week and OMG, you guys! It looks so good. Dakota Fanning! What!? Damn, girl! She’s looking hot for days! It almost makes me uncomfortable.
For anyone who’s been living under a rock, The Runaways is the biopic of Joan Jett, with Kristen playing Joan and Dakota playing the band’s lead singer, Cherie Currie. We’ve never seen Fanning or Stewart take on a role like this, and considering they are portraying rock legends, their performances will be held to a certain standard. Maybe it’s just some fancy editing that makes this trailer look so great (admittedly, we don’t see much of their performances here), but my interest in seeing the film is definitely at an all-time high now.

More loose moral initiation for those who are fans of these young ladies.. I believe some stars agree they are promoting bad habits and brutality by films, with their rebellious behavior, glamorize risky behavior and agressiveness for money. It’s not like good films with sensible stories with no hidden agendas are not as attractive and make money.

dakota looks too young……..not buy it
The character Dakota plays was actually quite young, no older than nineteen during the entire lifetime of the band, I believe. :o Not as young as Dakota, sure, but still very young.
wow. the clip doesn’t even show any of the dialogue of the movie..the acting must suck then.
The Runaways had a lot of talented chicks – not just Joan Jett. She had the initial idea to start an all girl band based on some of her idols like Gary Glitter and David Bowie but if the movie was just about HER then it would be called “The Joan Jett Story”.

um, its a teaser trailer.. thats why there are no “academy award winning” dialogue moments. and Kristen is Joan Jett and Dakota is Cherie Currie. The other members were ugly so no one remembers them. haha. Oh but Lindsay Lohan would have been a great Lita Ford..

How many of you guys even know who the f the Runaways are??? ::blink blink:: As I’m betting not many peeps on this board are as old as me (cough) 35, lets not try to mock either Joan Jett or Lita Ford shall we? Because I’m sure even now in menopausal age they could kick all of our asses around a room.
And as far as people looking too young to be believable, weren’t half these broads all of 16 when this band started?? And I’m asking that as a girl who only discovered Joan Jett & Lita Ford in the late 80’s when I was a teenager…..
