A few months ago Jojo Siwa said Candace Cameron Bure was the meanest celeb she met. After talking to Candace, Jojo apologized, saying she was just a kid when she met Cameron and didn’t understand celebs can’t always stop and take photos.
But now she’s got a real reason to feel offended and I back her at every turn.
Candace and her brother Kirk Cameron were both hot actors back in the 80s. She on full house and he the hunky star of Growing Pains. But the two became super christians soon after and since then they live like it’s 1920.
Most recently Candace sat down with the Wall Street Journal and said she intends to “keep traditional marriage at the core” of her partnership with the Great American Family channel.
In other words, marriage between one man and one woman. And of course Jojo Siwa is a proud gay woman.
Siwa wrote on Instagram: “Honestly, I can’t believe after everything that went down just a few months ago, that she would not only create a movie with intention of excluding LGBTQIA+, but then also talk about it in the press. This is rude and hurtful to a whole community of people.”
Siwa’s comment was applauded by fellow Dance Moms alum Maddie Ziegler, who commented, “go off jojo!!!!!!! ??????”
