That actress Jung Ho-yeon was named Global Embassador for premium giant Louis Vuitton isn’t the surprising part of this story.  After all, she’s the star of Netflix’s hottest show in dozens of countries.

It’s that she came to the attention of LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy) after the Squid Game stars instagram star gained 13 million new followers in just three weeks.

It also doesn’t help that she has “woke up like this” hair and pouty lips.

The French fashion house announced the news on Instagram, alongside a photo of the 27-year-old posing in a stunning white mini dress.

‘HoYeon Jung joins as new Global House Ambassador for Fashion, Watches and Jewelry,’ the caption read.

after gaining more than 13 million Instagram followers in just three weeks

‘Perfectly embodying the independent #LouisVuitton woman, the Netflix #SquidGame star embarks on this new journey with the Maison after first gracing the runway and being featured in a ready-to-wear campaign in 2017.’

The creative director of Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquiere, also revealed how the actress’ talent impressed him.

‘I immediately fell in love with HoYeon’s great talent and fantastic personality, and I am looking forward to starting this new chapter of the journey we started at Louis Vuitton a few years ago,’ he said.

How wonderful.  I love how she and her cast made the US, en mass, take notice of the Korean film industry and she’s earned this distinction.
