You often hear of 90 year olds deciding to fulfill some extreme bucket list challenge, like jumping from a plane or climbing a mountain. William Shatner is going to blow those crap trips off the map.
The man who built an empire playing the Captain of a space craft searching the universe for other life, is going to get to see the darkness of space for himself. On Bezos’ rocket.
The actor is slated to be part of the second crew to take the space flight in the New Shepard capsule. That would make him the oldest person ever to be launched into space.
Shatner is scheduled to go up on October 15th (weather permitting).
No word on who else is joining Kirk uh… Shatner, but we do hope he’s allowed to wear his SS Enterprise uniform. It’s only fair.
