R. Kelly has been arrested in Chicago on sex trafficking charges, according to reports.
The singer, 52, is said to have been detained by New York police detectives and Homeland Security Investigation agents.
A 13-count indictment includes charges of child porn and obstruction of justice.
Joseph Fitzpatrick told The Chicago Sun Times he was arrested at 7 p.m. Thursday.
His attorney, Steve Greenberg, confirmed the arrest to the paper but released no further details.
