Iconic singer Julio Iglesias has refused to get a DNA test to prove, or disprove, that he is the father of a 43 year old man claiming just that. So a judge has been brought in to determine if he is.
Javier Sánchez says that his mother gave birth to him in 1975, exactly 9 months after meeting Iglesias at a party. It’s a story as old as time.
The judge’s ruling says “there existed contacts and a relationship between the mother of (Sánchez and Iglesias) near the date of conception.”
Iglesias’ lawyers say they will appeal the decision.
Any possible financial compensation for Sánchez would be determined at a separate trial.
I am curious as to whether or not Sanchez’ mother made any attempt over the years to contact Julio. It, for me, would go a long way toward how much financially is owed. I can’t stand a dead beat dad.
