R Kelly was recently hit with 11 new charges of sexual assault and today he stood before a judge to enter a plea on those charges.
The pervy performer plead not guilty and spoke only to say “yes sir” when asked if he understood the charges. He faces as much as 30 years for these charges alone. Not to mention the 10 charges he was hit with in February.
Prosecutors didn’t ask a Chicago judge to raise the bond amount for Kelly during the brief hearing in Cook County court.
He had nothing to say to reporters on his way out.
His lawyer, Steve Greenberg, seems to think this is just another bump in the road. “It’s the same case. It’s just that they’ve just changed what they’ve charged him with,” Greenberg said. “It’s the same facts … the same bond, the same evidence. We expect the same result.”
