Big names are coming out every few hours to announce huge donations to the ‘March for our Lives’ event planned for March 24th.
Started by four survivors of the Florida school shooting last week, a march on Washington to demand gun control has been planned and it’s fast becoming the largest such event in decades. Now comes world Hollywood is prepared to help.
Amal and George Clooney, Oprah, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Steven Spielberg have each pledged $500,000 to the March for whatever is needed to get as many people safely to Washington where their voices can be heard.
The organizers are encouraging satellite march organizers to send in screenshots of their event pages to be reposted on the official Facebook group. Thus far, according to screenshots posted, there are marches being planned for Los Angeles; Chicago; Miami; Las Vegas; Springfield, Missouri; San Francisco; Dallas; New York City; Birmingham, Alabama; West Palm Beach, Florida; Boise, Idaho; Liverpool, England; and more.
