Amy Schumer: I don’t deserve the same pay as Chris Rock or Dave Chappelle

Netflix ended up shelling out a lot more than they expected for Amy Schumer’s comedy special after the comedian requested a higher pay day.

The comedian was initially offered $11 million, according to Variety, but later went back to the streaming service and asked for more.

It’s a hefty price tag that Netflix likely regrets considering the March special was a ratings disaster, which Schumer blamed on alt-right trolls at the time.

But while Amy, of course, supports equal pay among the sexes, she says she didn’t demand the same pay as Chappelle and Rock, because they’re legends and she doesn’t deserve the same pay as them.

Alongside a nude photo of herself holding a dog wearing a plush hotdog costume, Schumer thanked fans for “chiming in on what you feel I deserve to be paid.”

Btw, no body shaming can be done here. She looks amazing!

Hot dog dog. Thanks for chiming in on what you feel I deserve to be paid. I believe women deserve equal pay. However I don’t believe I deserve equal pay to Chris and Dave. They are legends and 2 of the greatest comics of all time. I would like to say that I have been selling out arenas these last couple years. Something a female comic has never done. That’s a big deal to me, especially because I know I do my best every night on stage for the audience and they have a good time. I didn’t ask for the same as my friends. I did ask for more than the initial offer. I will continue to work my ass off and be the best performer I can be. The reports of me “demanding” or “insisting” on equal pay to them aren’t a true. #fat #stealsjokes

  • 11 sheets wasn’tt enoughfor her? I like Amy but that’s beyond greedy. Entertainers should get paid (xyz) and ratings or ticket sales should be an additional fee.
BTW xyz should be alot less than $11 shmill
