If you’re wondering why Ed Sheeran isn’t particularly active on Twitter — the majority of his recent posts have been links to Instagram, and he doesn’t post a whole lot else — there’s a reason for that.
“I’ve actually come off Twitter completely,” he told The Sun in a recent interview. (Who talks to The Sun?) “I can’t read it. I go on it and there’s nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter’s a platform for that.”
Sheeran went on to say that he’s come off Twitter because “one comment ruins your day”.
To be honest, this news isn’t necessarily all that surprising. Despite the fact he’s tweeted over 32,000 times, Sheeran has never felt like a massive social media fan. He said in his recent Carpool Karaoke that he doesn’t actually own a mobile phone, for instance, and he’s previously had a year’s hiatus from social media altogether.
So maybe hit up his Insta for a fix.
