Richard Simmons was hospitalized this week with stomach problems, but is on his way to a full recovery, according to a report Tuesday.
“Simmons was hospitalized on Monday at an undisclosed location in California,” his rep, Michael Catalano, told ABC News.
“After a few days of battling severe indigestion and discomfort while eating, we agreed it was best for him to seek treatment,” he said. “He’s already feeling better and is expected to make a full recovery.”
The 68-year-old former weight-loss guru vanished from the public eye in recent years, sparking the popular podcast “Missing Richard Simmons” and a storm of speculation on Twitter.
He reemerged earlier this month, announcing he had signed on to a new business deal, complete with “merchandising, endorsements and licensing opportunities.”
