TV Land has given a series order to a half-hour 1970s dramedy pilot American Woman, starring Alicia Silverstone. Inspired by the real-life upbringing of co-executive producer Kyle Richards. Oh yes. THAT Kyle Richards. From HWOBH.

Set amid the sexual revolution and the rise of second-wave feminism, American Woman follows Bonnie (Silverstone), an unconventional mother struggling to raise her two daughters (Makenna James and Lia Ryan McHugh) after leaving her husband. She and her two best friends, Kathleen and Diana (played by Mena Suvari and Jennifer Bartels, respectively), each will discover their own brand of independence in a world reluctant to give it.

I love anything set in the 70’s, and I do like Alicia. Why can’t I get passed supporting a project by one of the Housewives?  Ugh..  I’ll probably give it a go.
