Amazingly Preserved 70’s Ike & Tina Turner House for Sale

This four-bedroom View Park house was built in 1956, but it’s definitely a 1970s time capsule. In 1977, the sellers purchased the house from legendary musical duo Ike and Tina Turner.  But they only made a few alterations (reupholstered the sofa and replaced the carpet). In fact the home is so well maintained that it was used in the movie “Whats Love Got to do with it”.

Notice the round canopy bed, which came with the house and belonged to Ike and Tina. Also the dirty, but still awesome, fishtank behind the bar. I totally remember that from the movie. As well as the custom sofa. And omg, in the kitchen is a wall mounted rotary phone!

The house measures just under 3,000 square feet and has 2.75 bathrooms. The residence is fronted by a circular driveway and flanked by an attached two-car garage. It’s listed for $999,000.
