Miley Cyrus Shades Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” Video

Taylor Swift‘s “Bad Blood” video was the Katy Perry shade fest the world had been waiting for but was, for the most part, pretty underwhelmed by, when all’s said and done. One celeb was particularly unimpressed by it, and that’s Miley Cyrus. Miley hates that she gets shit for getting naked, but everyone’s celebrating Taylor for basically promoting girl-on-girl drama and violence. Ruh roh.

From Marie Claire:

“I don’t get the violence revenge thing. That’s supposed to be a good example? And I’m a bad role model because I’m running around with my [breasts] out? I’m not sure how [breasts] are worse than guns.”

“There is so much sexism, ageism, you name it. Kendrick Lamar sings about LSD and he’s cool. I do it and I’m a druggie whore.”

I mean… it is true. Am I sick of seeing Miley naked? Obviously, but it’s just tiresome, not offensive. And frankly, I’m tired of seeing Taylor play the role of the world’s BFF when she’s shady as shit, too, so it’s sorta the same thing, and I get her point. Miley doesn’t give a shit anymore about what anyone thinks of her, though, and isn’t afraid of being portrayed in a negative light.

“I don’t really stress too much about being out there. There’s nothing left to catch me doing. You want to hack my e-mail so you can find my nude pictures? I’ll just f–king put them up.”

I mean, I do think she’ll probably cringe in a decade when when realizes what a mess she’s been, but whatever, who wasn’t? We just got to do it privately and not as celebrities, so I guess keep on keeping on.

  • As a pushing 50 grandma that actually worked on a couple of older Miley projects, I can confidently say that the chance she will look back & be embarrassed by her wild 20s is slim to none, & I’m leaning toward the latter. She’s actually not much different now than when I first met her at 16-17. A little less clothes, a few extra curses, a bit more confidence. That’s it. Despite what people seem to want to believe, actors are NOT their characters nor are they their stage or otherwise public persona, fully. Miley Stewart was the G rated Miley Cyrus. Away from the public, I met this person & she was very real.
