After Bobbi Kristina was found face down in her bathtub over the weekend, she was rushed to hospital and put into a medically-induced coma to reduce brain swelling. While her family released a statement yesterday that Bobbi is “fighting for her life”, she is thought to be doing somewhat better and has opened and closed her eyes at least once – a positive sign to everyone holding vigil at her bedside.
While no one knows exactly what led to this tragedy, originally drugs and alcohol had been ruled out of the equation after an initial search by the police. However, perhaps unsurprisingly, it seems as though drugs did actually have something to do with it and authorities have actually taken several items from the house which the family have admitted are drug-related.
We’ve confirmed … over the weekend cops went back a second time to search the house. The first time they went they found nothing, but we’re told they went a second time and seized several items.
Cops will not confirm they found drugs, but family sources tell TMZ authorities told the family that is indeed what was found.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ … they believed from the beginning Bobbi Kristina ended up face down in a bathtub as a result of drugs.
As for why cops didn’t find anything during the first search … we’re told they were only looking for items that were “out in the open.” Law enforcement tells us the second search was more thorough.
Again, this is hardly surprising – drugs have been a big part of Bobbi’s life for years. What remains to be seen is whether or not this was intentional, whether or not she can pull through and if she does, if she can finally get the help she so desperately needs to get her life somewhat back on track. Here’s hoping!
The radio yesterday morning said she has completely diminished brain fuction.
