Janice Dickinson reveals she was raped by Bill Cosby in the ’80s

Janice Dickinson has long been a source of entertainment with her zany (some would say “crazy”) personality. She was the highlight of America’s Next Top Model and the show sank when she left. She is, by her own account, the world’s first supermodel and spent the ’80s traveling the world, doing fancy photo shoots and all the other shit you’d expect a supermodel to do. One experience she did have, however, scarred her for life and she’s only now talking out about it in explicit detail: Janice claims that she, too, was raped by Bill Cosby in the 1980s.

Apparently Cosby promised to help Janice’s career in the early ’80s and called her from rehab to come to his home in Lake Tahoe. There, he gave her what she thought was a pain pill with a glass of wine and then proceeded to rape her. Janice detailed the experience in a new interview with Entertainment Tonight:

“The next morning I woke up, and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas, and I remember before I passed out that I had been sexually assaulted by this man,” she tells ET. “… Before I woke up in the morning, the last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain. The next morning I remember waking up with my pajamas off and there was semen in between my legs.”

I’ll paste the video of her talking about this (it also includes some video of some of Cosby’s other victims) below, but I find it so interesting how people are like, “Well, if Bill Cosby did this, why didn’t these women come forward sooner?” Uh, a lot of them tried to and were silenced – don’t forget he settled out of court with one, as well. Also, the fact that people are even asking that question sort of answers itself. We live in a culture where women are seen as liars when it comes to sexual assault, much of the time – ESPECIALLY when the perpetrator is a public figure, not to mention one so well-respected and seen as a “family man” like Cosby was (and still is, by many).

Also, anyone who thinks Janice Dickinson can’t be trusted and she’s nuts and jumping on the bandwagon, she first alluded to this assault over a decade ago. She was pressured by Cosby attorneys to take passages out of one of her books that detailed the rape in detail, though apparently if you read through it, it’s still pretty obvious what happened.

The question is, will ANYONE ever bring this asshole to justice? Why aren’t charges being brought against him?

  • Charges aren’t being brought for several reasons against Bill Cosby. For these women to have waited DECADES to cry rape is absolutely ridiculous. There’s a thing called the STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS to stop idiocy like this.

And for these women to “come forward” now is the height of hypocrisy. Virtually every one of the accusers were trying to get Cosby to hire them or use his influence to get them a career in film/TV/etc.

    • Re-read your comment and you’ll know why so many women are hesitant to come forward. You’re basically saying that if they wanted Cosby to help them out with their careers, they should have let him rape them. You’re blaming the victims.

    • Wow Chuck, you are a total tool aren’t you? If they wanted to “cry rape” for social and media empowerment why didn’t they do it then? It would have brought them attention you think they were obviously trying to garner. Maybe you should read more and speak less… Unless you enjoy sounding like a complete moron.

  • The accusations have been out there for years, but nobody has ever wanted to listen to them. I’m glad they’re picking up steam, but honestly they’re not new at all. Same with R Kelly and Woody Allen.
