Ke$ha and Pitbull: a rather unlikely combination for a duet, I think, and the result – their new single ‘Timber – sorta proves my point. It’s awful and I seriously have no idea who came up with this song. There’s so much going on in it, the cowboy/lonesome prairie vibe is not working and now that the video is here, the whole menagerie of messiness comes together in one place.
If you want to see a bunch of weird line dancers, Pitbull in a suit and Ke$ha riding a mechanical bull, you’re in luck because this video has it all. Honestly, as much as I hate Pitbull, he makes some really good radio-friendly tracks, and this is the first one I’ve really, really disliked. I mean, it’s awful. Also, poor Ke$ha for being involved with this fuckery. Was this Dr. Luke’s idea?
