Regardless of what you think of Katy Perry’s public persona and music (I am a fan of neither, save for “Teenage Dream.” C’mon. I’m a freakin’ human and that song penetrates my soul’s skintight jeans), the girl was one of the hottest entertainers of 2010, so of course it makes sense that Maxim would choose her as their cover girl for the first issue of 2011. Her old-school pinup girl makeup and hair is still intact, but instead of looking cute-sexy the way she usually does while covered in sparkles, ruffles and candy, she looks fierce-sexy.
Work it out, girl.
