Clay Aiken and Ruben Studdard are doing a tour together, and I’m not an American Idol fan, so I really don’t care about that. But they had their first concert on Friday, and if this video is any kind of guide to how the show is, then I might have to start caring.

The medley includes songs like “This Is How We Do It” by Montell Jordan, “Achy Breaky Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus, “The Right Stuff” by New Kids on the Block, “The End of the Road” by Boyz II Men, “I Swear” by All-4-One, and “I Want It That Way” by the Backstreet Boys, all with goofy dance moves and pauses so that the performers could catch their breath.

I think I like it so much because all of those elements together just toss me right back to my 5th grade Valentine’s Day dance that I had to sneak into because I had lice and I wasn’t allowed on school grounds.  And that might have been a dark time in my life, but that was a damn good dance.

Thanks for the memories, guys!

What does being Gay have to do with his talent. He’s human, extremely talented, he has CLASS…..and judging from your comment, you I’m sure, will never be, and will never have. Stop judging people by their sexuality, what a homophopic u r.

adair- You can see some videos of the shows, so far, at clackunlimited.com and clicking on tours—then click on the Tried and True 2010 links. There is also audio of the full show(s). I will be seeing the guys in August in NH. Can’t wait. They are a lot of fun together. Just to let everyone know–Ruben was NOT the true winner of AI. Clay received more than 80 percent of the vote every week he was on (two producers admitted to that on video!!) and if it wasn’t for the poorly planned ONE phone line afforded the two of them for their votes to get in; ALL of Clay’s millions of votes OVER Ruben would have been counted!! The very next year, and every year since, thinking this may happen again (which it didn’t!!!), the producers added 2 and 3 phone lines and double the amount of voting time for each finalist. Clay is ‘sort of’ over not receiving the ‘title’ -even though he didn’t need it as his career has far surpassed Ruben’s by 1000 times over! But they are great friends and I guess that’s all that matters!!! Even though I still cringe at some media still giving the title of ‘runner-up’ to Clay!!!
