A photo of Britney Spears

After a meeting yesterday between Britney Spears’ father and a judge, it was decided that Britney still isn’t able to gain independence. Her conservatorship, which has been in place since early 2008, gives her dad control of basically her whole life, and no one involved – including Britney herself, who wasn’t present for the meeting – sees this arrangement ending any time soon.  A friend told RadarOnline

“It seems highly unlikely that the conservatorship will end by the end of summer. Britney’s just not ready yet. Britney has complex issues that on a personal and professional level and that is the reason the conservatorship is still in place.”

Tough break, Brit.  I hope you stop being crazy so you can run your own life, and that you stop making stupid shitty music like “Womanizer” and go back to making fun shitty music like “Oops! … I Did It Again.”  And, you know, whatever personal stuff you might want to do (but I would really appreciate that thing about the music).

…Well it seems to me that Rolling Stone thinks that her “crazy” times brought her into contention for the best album of the decade.. http://celebritygossiptalk.com/%E2%80%98rolling-stone%E2%80%99-magazine-heaps-great-praise-on-%E2%80%98blackout%E2%80%99-by-britney-spears/

Blackout was her best album, period. Nothing else even comes close. Sometimes, it takes a little crazy to make something good.

Don’t you guys have some thing in the US about right to freedom… same place you get the right to stockpile assault rifles I think.

  9. Luci says:

    blackout’s great, circus is crap

  10. Ricardo says:

Womanizer was a good song. Extremely catchy when you think about it, as it repeats the word womanizer like a million times yet it works. pretty genius.

Blackout of course is the best CD. Its eeriness is its biggest accomplishment.

Oops… was epic due to its persona-shaping qualities as it really evolved and defined her character as an artist, and pretty much created how we see her to this day: A sexual icon.

Too bad it all actually turned her into an entertaining performance robot whom hasn’t yet figured out how to be a normal human being.

Hopefully she still can. Love her.
