You guys, I think the Gosselin limelight may be fading. Kate Gosselin was awarded primary custody of her children today, and it wasn’t immediately, like, announced in Times Square. No one seems to care, really. In fact, the final episode of Jon & Kate Plus Eight aired tonight, and it’s being replaced with Cake Boss, which is, incidentally, one of the worst reality TV shows I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing. Does that crapfest get ratings? Like, it’s a bunch of New Jersey Italians bickering about cake frosting. I care a lot about cake when I can eat it, but under any other circumstances I’m rather indifferent. I would be really sad if my show got replaced by Cake Boss. The least TLC could do is replace it with King of the Crown, which I love.
I’m not really sure exactly what the terms of the custody agreement are, and if it means Jon can’t four-wheel around their Pennsylvania estate and smoke cigarettes whenever he’s taking a break from eating compulsively, but this whole custody agreement got hammered out in a day. The rest of the divorce isn’t expected to be finalized until January, which I think kind of means that Jon rolled over on the whole custody-of-his-children thing, but he’s prepared to stand and fight over, ya know, his car. That’s sweet. My, how the tables have turned.
Here’s the takeaway point: For those of you who have spent the past two years begging the world to stop caring about Jon and Kate, I think your day may be approaching.

I LOVE King of the Crown. Cyrus and his crew rock. The drama on that show is so entertaining. I didn’t know anyone else but me watched that show.

i honestly live like 10 mins from their house, and im going to be honest. its a very beautiful house (too bad its home to such douchers).
Jon Gosselin gave “primary” custody which means Khate gets to live with the children. He still has legal and custody rights so he visits and any decisions about the children must have 50/50 agreement of each parent. Primary custody just designates one parent at the physical “custodian”…one parent has to be. I hope now though that we can move on and away from all things Gosselin. It has been one depressing ride and certainly not entertainment.

I though the same thing. He’s branded as this laid back father and is always shown being chill no matter what and then (not 2 weeks from a rumored coke fueled sex tape) he’s all Mr. Jitters. He was FOR SURE hopped up. Twitchy and itchy. Why doesn’t someone in his family intervene?!
I think the whole thing is funny… I’m glad Kate got primary custody of the kids, that’s the way it should be anyway. At least she’s dedicated to them, and she’s not doing any of the stupid things Jon has been doing. I hope that Jon learns his lesson, finally, and that he stops being an idiot.

Pssh, hardly. Ever seen Ace of Cakes? It’s practically free of scripted drama (which is what Cake Boss thrives on), full of good natured people instead of arrogant assholes, and you still get to see really awesome cakes. Once you have an alternative like that to watch, Cake Boss just looks like a turd stamped with TLC’s logo.

Thank God the Gosselins are going off the radar, except that Kate will keep pimping the kids and Jon probably will too, once he figures out that he’s not very comodifiable on his own.
Ace of Cakes is fun too – it’s astonishing how much TV time is devoted to elaborate cakes! What is it with people? I wonder if the audiences for these shows are all women.
And, as for her gaining primary custody not being shouted from the roof tops, it’s because no one expected otherwise. As if Jon would…

ohh how glad i’m to see kate gone.Do u really thonk that kate will visit a cow farm and have game nite noe that the camera.s have stopped rolling please those kids will be with the babysitter/nanny all the time.All of the 8 Gosselin children are very fresh and misbehave and they dont listen to thier babysitter and the twins are very disrectful to jon the public may not like him but he is those ugly twins father and they need to listen to him.Kate won custody only because she knew how to play the game…Believe me she will spend as little time as possible with those children she was paid to act like a loving mother she SUCKS! I .ve always been on Jon’s side..LOL
