Oprah Shares Cover of Her Magazine With Ellen, Gets Heavily Photoshopped to Make Room

Oprah doesn’t like sharing her magazine cover.  It’s not one of her favorite things.  She’s only ever shared with Michelle Obama before this December’s issue.  After Ellen Degeneres’ aggressive campaigning, she appears with Big O on not one, but two covers.

I love Ellen, even if I don’t understand her love of all things O.  You know what else I don’t love?  Oprah’s constant yammering about living her authentic self.  Just how many whacks of Photoshop’s warp brush tool do you think O’s saddlebags were treated to?  Even in discussing the shoot, Oprah said “When Ellen arrived at the photo shoot for our cover, I didn’t have to ask her how she was doing: it showed on her face.  She radiated the kind of peace and satisfaction that comes only when you’re living at your highest potential.”  I wish I could get five minutes with Oprah to ask if she’s living at her highest potential or is she just edited to appear that way.

  • I love this news! Ellen is definitely one of the funniest women on the planet, and I’m glad that she made it onto the cover. The whole way she kept that bit running on her show was awesome.

  • don’t talk trash on Oprah. who care is she edits her pictures? who cares if she is a little chunky? she is an amazing person who deserves respect. stooping that low to judge somebody based on their weight is just pathetic

  • Wendie you are so hateful its pathetic. get counselling. please. i feel like you could snap and attack someone one day if you dont get help.

  • Yes, once again you are just a raging bitch. As long as we keep clicking on the site that’s all you people care about.

  • Wendie, are you living to your highest potential???? Hate mongering may be the best you can do. Oprah said something so nice about Ellen somehow you manage to twist it in a mean and vengeful way. I wish you would fly off on your broomstick and leave this blog.

  • I don’t understand why you guys comment on the writters, we’re not here to comment on that. Besides, we all have an opinion on things, and if you don’t like it when people feels different about a situation, it’s YOUR problem. Leave the writters alone, they have their opinion and you got yours, it’s as simple as that.

Back to the real topic, Wtf is up with Oprah’s comment about the highest potential? i wonder if she really thinks she’s God, and that people get THAT happy just being around her.. It’s ridiculous. I didn’t like her comment at all.

And Ellen looks great! i absolutely love Ellen. As much as i dont like Oprah, i’m happy that Ellen’s happy to be on the cover of her mag.

  • Your point about Oprah sharing the cover is well taken. I marvel at her narcissism every time I see the magazine at the market. She needs to get over herself.

    • exactly! your hate for oprah and dress purchasing compulsion (fellow addict here) are the main reasons i read eb.
the oprah cult is ridiculous, this was a funny article. don’t let the loonies get to you :)

  • I have to say – Adore Wendie. That is one funny bizzatch.

Oprah – now, I love Oprah. Seriously. But, she does tend to get carried away with thinking she’s everyone’s own, personal Black Jesus

Ellen was excited to be on the cover, however – I dont think that she feels that now that she has, she’s ‘living her potential’

    Give me a fucking break.

    • Yes, and also notice how Oprah’s skin has been photoshopped to look darker and more noticeable than Ellen’s on a largely white/light background.
I think “they” also purposely made Oprah’s hair longer than Ellen’s on both covers.
Oh, and Oprah has obviously different outfits between the two cover shots, while Ellen does not.
And why are neither of the covers named ‘The Ellen Magazine?’

      • I couldn’t tell if you were being sarcastic Skeelo.. though I hope you were. And Ellen is wearing two different outfits.

  • wendie, i think you are hilarious, and i get your humor. what i don’t understand are the people who come here to basically post nasty comments about the writers, especially wendie. this site is not a transcription of THE HOLY BIBLE. it’s meant to be snarky and humorous and poke fun at celebritism. look elsewhere if you want to visit a site where everyone is nice and writes about flowers and rainbows and unicorns and how everyone in the world is in love with everyone else. wendie, please keep doing what you’re doing. i, for one, find your posts refreshing and lol funny.

  • It’s that kind of joy I miss out on as the show doesn’t air here, and I would never have heard for Anderson Cooper if it weren’t for the net. I think Ellen is adorable and hopefully she’ll find a new “bit” to harp on about on her show.
