Last year, it was Sarah Palin. I saw so many Palins on Halloween I thought was at the governor’s igloo in Alaska. This year– and I hope I don’t incur the wrath of Sasha by saying this– the most overdone costume is definitely Jon & Kate Gosselin. Our own esteemed Beet went to work yesterday dressed up as one third of a Jon, Kate, and Hailey Glassman trio. Check out the pics she posted to her Twitter.
As further proof this costume has jumped the shark, the couple we love to hate dressed as a pair of Gosselins and went out trick-or-treating. (Instead of candy they got 10 more minutes of fame.)
While I was out last night, I saw no fewer than 4 Kate Gosselins and 2 corresponding “Jons.” I can see why it’s a popular costume. That haircut is so terrible that it’s become downright iconic and in the same way that women use Halloween as an excuse to release their inner sluts, it’s also the one day a year you can indulge in truly hideous fashion and hair and not be held accountable for it.
It’s also a really easy couples costume to pull off. All you need is an Ed Hardy t-shirt, a blonde wig you’ve run over with a lawnmower then styled with super glue, and 8 battered, used baby dolls from the Goodwill store that you’re willing to exploit for your own personal gain.

Of all the kids who came to my door tonight, there were only a few doubles. We saw two football players, two angels, and two girls in pajamas. I have no idea how pajamas have become a costume, but when I asked what they were they both said “Pajama Girl!”
As far as adult costumes, I have no idea. :P
I saw several Octomoms. Complete with oversized Anastasia Jolie-esque lips.

Halloween isn’t as big here in the UK as it is in the colonies but I must have been very tired when I tried to help a man on the train who I thought had been badly burned, but in reality was on his way to a party dressed as a zombie/mummy and swathed in bandages.
The colonies???? Hail Britannia, ruler of the world. LOL.
The most common one i saw was transformers.. Kids and adults, it was just way too popular..
And of course hookers, that one was very popular as well.
I didn’t see octomom’s or jon and kate’s at all.. Weird right?
I like how Beet looks with the blonde hair, she looks very very diferent when she changes her hair color.

I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for posting this. The model wearing the wig is actually a girl I know who is stupid, skanky, and tried/s to steal my boyfriend. She is signed with an agency and does do high end runway, but seeing her in this made my day, no, it made my WEEK. I’m sure you can appreciate my joy of seeing some evil model dressed up in a dyke-hair wig.
