“When I was 13, Mackenzie told me that she had a consensual sexual relationship with our father. This news was confusing and scary, as I lived alone with my father since I was 3, I didn’t know what to believe and it didn’t help that shortly there after Mackenzie told me it didn’t happen.”

– Bijou Phillips in a public statement regarding her sister Mackenzie Phillips’ claim that she and her father had a sexual relationship.

  • So the whole family pretty much knew and ignored it or did not want to believe it. Some how I think that there is another person close to this family or in the family where it also happened to them by Papa Phillips. This pretty much makes the average American family look like the Swiss Family Robinsons.

  • This whole “revealing” is sadly disturbing. My one hope is that perhaps there is another young lady reading this tragedy and acknowledges that this destructive behavior isn’t an isolated case, and seeks help, and possibly legal. Any sexual relations between a father & daughter is obscene!

  • Ohh….I just watched the Oprah recap (or whatever she calls her Friday show), and Oprah read an email that came from Denny Doherty’s oldest daughter….who completely corroborated MacKenzie’s story. So yup, it seems as though there were a number of people who must have known this had happened. And shame on Michelle Phillips for trying to claim that MacKenzie has mental issues. Chynna was completely annoying on Oprah – SHE might be the one with mental issues…oh brother. What a story!

  • the whole thing is just tragic. i feel for her and it must be horrible when people who you love and trust speak against you in public. Mackenzie’s family should all have just kept their mouths shut. honestly the woman has been through enough…

  • Well, Mackenzie probably does have mental issues … who wouldn’t after literally being fucked by her father? To use her mental instability as a weapon to discredit her, instead of recognizing it as the legacy of the abuse, is disgusting. “I didn’t know” or “I have no comment” or “I don’t wish to hash this out in public” are all perfectly valid things Michelle could say without attacking Mackenzie.

  • I don’t know- you are all acting like she was abused. The first time she was high and had sex with her father- HELL ya she was abused. After that I would have stayed away- but NO- she is admitting she had CONSENSUAL sex for years. WTF? She was 18+. If she was 8+ I would feel sorry for her but no- she does NOT get my sympathy at all. She is just as sick as him.

    • No sympathy… She should have all the sympathy in the world! That girl was used and abused and not treated as a child, ever. Who the hell teaches their 10yr old daughter to roll their joints for them. And that comment by Mick Jagger sums it up – `I`ve been waiting for this since you were 10yrs old`!! She was treated as an object and a party buddy since early childhood and was strung out and high from 10 onwards… obviously she was confused and looking for love and attention. It took a lot for her to come out with that and try to heal and move on.

  • Mackenzie is pretty much clean of any crime, addiction or harmful act she has committed.. after knowing NO ONE would listen to or help her and that goes for filthy perv MICK JAGGER so put him on the hot seat… diss on him now.. as he and the famous others papa hung around with; like the Beatles! Many celebs probably know and some are still alive, not reaching out and helping her. I hope she tells the truth on all of them and they squirm with great fear and lament with every regret and feel deeply ashamed of themselves..
