Apology video WHAT?

Rihanna don’t care.

The superstar totally pulled off this fashion-forward look at the London premiere of Inglorious Basterds.

  • I still find her forehead offensive and STILL think she looks like ugly Dionne Warwick.

    Meh.

  • How is she a superstar? She’s famous for having one annoying hit song “Umbrella.” and for getting beat up. She’s not a superstar.

  • She looks amazing. Love that she can be feminine and fierce, and her music rocks.

BUT, she should care about the apology. She should have pressed charges.

  • Is anyone else grossed out that all of these young beautiful people are bringing back the heinous style from the 80’s???

Gag me with those long loads of pearls, weird gel sculpted hair, high waisted pegged pants….they probably feel so original in it all but there is a HUGE segment of society that does not miss the ridiculousness of 80’s fashion.

I think she would look so gorgeous in something a bit softer.

  • Rhianna is done in my mind!!! She had the opportunity to do the right thing through all of this mess with CB and she chose to be a scared, pathetic victim – SHAME ON YOU RHIANNA!!! She is an embarrassment to strong, powerful women everywhere!!!

  • and p.s. – looking amazing and put together is not enough to right the wrongs that CB committed against her – she is a major let down!!!

  • A. I think she is gorgeous, and I admire her courageous fashion choices (even though I don’t always agree with them).

    B. It isn’t very fair to get angry at battered women for “not doing enough” to fight their abusers. The fact that she left him at all speaks volumes about her strength (and no doubt her support group). Let’s bear in mind that abusers typically break their victims down psychologically (isolating them, insulting them, telling them they are worthless, destroying their sense of self-worth) well before they ever lay a hand on them.

Some of you may suspect that Rihanna made the decision not to press charges based on faulty criteria–not wanting to wash her dirty laundry in public, wanting to put the incident behind her to get back into her career, etc. This may be the case, at least partially, but I maintain that just because she was a famous public figure does NOT mean that she necessarily had the obligation to become the next battered women’s advocate. To take on such a role would have been extremely commendable, but NOT taking it on, in my opinion, does not make her “an embarrassment to strong, powerful women everywhere.”

I could go on, but shit, I’ve gone on long enough. In conclusion, good for her for leaving CB’s ass, and I love the pearls!

  • The outfit is atrocious. WHAT’S WITH THE LACE AND GRANNY PEARLS??? She looks like she’s in mourning. And are those SOCKS with those shoes? Pleh.
Her hair. Ick. She looks like Vanilla Ice.

  • She looks so beautiful. Like a high fashion model. I think she looks awesome. Her face is so beautiful she can wear her hair any way. Eat your hearts out, you haters.

  • I agree with Katie. It is easy to cast stones but it can happen to any woman under the right circumstances. Been there, got out alive, thank God. The main thing is to let all women and especially young women, teens etc. know that it is not OK and real love does not hurt.
