They’re baaaaack! After a four-year break, VH1 is bringing back the Divas concert special. In a press release, the network has announced that they have confirmed Leona Lewis, Kelly Clarkson, Adele and Miley Cyrus for the September 17th event. Seriously, Miley Cyrus is a diva? Are you even eligible to be a diva at 16? They have four more performers to announce and Taylor Swift better not be on that list. She’s talented and all, but so not a diva.
Who would you have on the list? Katy Perry? Lady Gaga? Pete Wentz?

I remember when a diva was someone very talented like Celine Dion or Cher… Now all you have to do is be a slutty teenager or be on american idol to get the title… What a waste of fucking time.. I’m sure Celine and Cher are not happy about this..

Joss Stone. i don’t know if I’d call her a “diva,” but she’s got a great big soulful voice. Fergie is a diva. This would be a great way for Rihanna to return to performing.

Adele will blow all those others away. She is a force of nature. She is not some pre-fab pop tart or talent show contestant.
I think a true Divas have dealt with major trama in their lives, and you can hear it in their voices. Not sure if the aformentioned are in that category yet.
I agree with all the choices except Miley…she’s a meal ticket for her family, that’s all, lmao, just like I’d be if I got famous for my singing.
I think that Kelly, Leona, and Adele are outstanding choices! Kelly Clarkson had a Diva voice the moment she opened her mouth on American Idol. To me she’s one of the greatest voices in Divadom.
I think it would be great to add Christina Aguilera, have Whitney back, Maybe Lady GaGa and have David Lambert do a guest singing appearance. Now that show would rock your face off!
