I’m sure you all caught last week’s video of Kate Gosselin denying water to Mady before a live, televised interview. But did you see the incredibly awkward interview that followed? The one where Kate practically bitch-slaps Alexis, who is busy murdering Joel (or is that Colin?), and then Mady says she likes her dad better than her mom and then announces that she hates the sextuplets? And the interviewer has absolutely no idea what to do with the whole mess, despite being a mother herself? No. Well, it’s above.
Why anyone would choose to put all these eight children in a live interview situation is a total mystery to me.

I think she dealt with Alexis fine during that interview, as a parent you have to be stern with your kids, especially when you are trying to get them to behave. I don’t agree with her using her children as publicity for interviews but I think the way she handled her children is not worth a whole post.

I had a moment of horror when I realized that I too organize my shopping list according to where things are in the store. Then I remembered that I only do that when my husband is doing the shopping to make it easier for him. And to make sure I actually get everything on the list…
Yeah, I also write my shopping list in aisle order. Call me crazy. Anything to get out of that friggin grocery store faster. I also make a short list of stuff that I wanted to discuss when I meet friends for drinks. Everyone calls it “the agenda”. It does work well, since I am all over the place when I am in a conversation. I can never finish a thought. Whatever gets you through the night.
I hate this lady, but I didn’t see her deny any of her children water or smack them.

As for the slapping, she said “practically.” Although in another video, also on this site, you can see Kate smack Leah’s ass.
I just wish she would stop doing interviews and pimping out her family. They need to address what they are going through personally, and television interviews really aren’t the way to go right now. They need to shift the focus back on themselves instead of trying to keep up this public image.. or else everything is going to implode (as if it hasn’t already.)
This is fricking hilarious. Whether or not she dealt with the kids correctly, she still came off as a total bitch, especially with that evil eye she gave Alexis. When you are trying to endear yourself to the public, it’s best not to look like a cold, heartless bitch on TV. I understand how you do need to be stern with your kids and try to get them to behave, but she does not come off as loving or likeable, just as a fame-whoring bitch who is pimping out her kids and her marriage (what’s left of it) for money.

I, for some reason, find this funny… But it’s wrong, i know.. It’s sad, and i shouldn’t laugh.. I think Kate is not doing anything to try to fix the situation, when she goes on tv, denies water to her kid, and then do this stupid interview. You can just tell she’s pissed right off, when they start asking her questions, she’s not concentrated at all, she has no clue what’s going on, she doesn’t know what to say, there’s a lot of silence in the beggining of the interview just because Kate is going crazy cus the kids are so loud, you can tell she just wants to yell at the kids right there, but she can’t, and she’s frustrated.. lol… And then when Mady says she likes daddy better, there’s silence again, and then Kate fakes a laugh….. I don’t know, i just honestly get the feeling that she’s a bitch and that the kids are not happy with her AT ALL….
As much as i hate Mady, the girl’s got a point.. And a good one.. And yeah, i also think she’s gonna move to LA and start some crap when she’s old enough, definately..
it looked like she hurt the little girls shoulder! anyway regaurdless of what she does and how she does it, when a child tells you to your face they like the other parent better, somethings gotta be wrong!
I’m not a parent, so it’s really not for me to judge, but she’s not the warmest, likable person and it’s reflected in her parenting. But I guess she didn’t really cross any line or anything. I can only imagine eight kids would become pretty stressful and as someone already said, she cannot be happy in her life right now. It is sad to watch. The kids might be better behaved with a different type of parenting, but it’s not for me to say. This was one three-minute snippet. They could be awesome kids most of the time.
I suspect Mady will pull a Drew Barrymore at 18, if not 14.

Why do her children still wear nappies at the age of four?? Perhaps having so many children means that she doesn’t have enough time with each one to raise them at a normal rate…
Where are you getting that from? They were potty trained by the time they were three. Some of them before that.
They were multiple preemies, so they’re slower in a lot of things, but they aren’t wearing diapers anymore.
She says she goes through however many nappies a week. Unless she’s incontinent I’m guessing they are still wearing them.
Kate is about to blow-up and go mentally insane as the only head of the household of people she can not stand any more.. pressure builds.. In her dreams she would willingly grind all of them up for shark meatloaf and smile as they disappeared one by one the giant fish tank.. if she could make enough retirement money and get rid of them. Really she needs to give up show business with the kids and strike out on her own while her kids have privacy and a regular life at home, apart from mommy madness.
i think the gosselin’s most important “tips for raising octuplets” would be don’t put them on tv.
