I finally watched Twilight last week, not because of any personal inclination, but I figured I should do some research. Glittery disco vampires aside, throughout the movie I watched Kristen Stewart and kept thinking, “Holy crap. This girl is the next Lindsay Lohan.” It’s something about the awkward, stilted acting and her awkward, spacey personality in interviews and at awards shows. This chick is doomed. But at least we can look forward to all of the gossip website fodder she’s going to provide in the future. Beet, meet your next cash cow.
As if to confirm my predictions, Kristen got a new haircut this weekend for her role in an upcoming biopic about Joan Jett. Even though it’s for a role, I consider it just one signpost on the road to drinking binges, poorly applied orangey fake tans, and other forms of Lohan-esque trailer park infamy.

I don’t think she’s into herself enough to be the next lindsay.
Kristen Stewart is so misunderstood by people in the gossip media. She just does not really enjoy being famous very much, that’s why she comes off as so awkward. Attention makes her anxious. There’s nothing wrong with that. I think its refreshing to see a young actor who doesn’t feel so entitled to all the fame and fortune in the universe.
Also, she is a really good actor. She blew Robert Pattinson away in Twilight. While he made an intense brooding face for 90 minutes, she actually developed a character and tried to make what she could of shitty writing. Watch Adventureland. If you don’t think she does a good job in that movie, you’re probably just biased because she got to kiss RPatz and you didn’t.
Perfectly stated. Many people misinterpret her awkwardness as bitchiness and think she’s a pretentious brat. I can’t wait to see what she’ll do with this role.

If you know about acting then watch her in adventureland she puts in a great performance, Ive never watched Twilight cos Im not a 12yo girl and like films and film stars to take acting seriously, my impression of her is that she does take her acting seriously and for young girl she has a huge amount of potential. Some people dont want to become movie stars but actual actors fame is just I bi-product of the industry, look at Johnny Depp he hates fame (has social anxiety) but his desire to want to be an actor means that he is willing to put up with the shitty media.

I agree with the people who say Stewart has gotten a bad rap and that she’s just awkward. I’ve read a couple of print interviews where she came across OK, and I though she was good in Adventureland. She may not be Meryl Streep, but I think she will end up having a more interesting career than some suspect. And I don’t think she will end up as part of the wasted party girl set. She could be doing that now if she wanted to.
I like that she doesn’t let the media ruin her life like Rob Pattinson is. What I don’t like is that she displays less talent now than she did when she was younger. Has anyone ever seen her in Speak? Where did that person go? I think she started lighting up far too soon.

Even a really great actor can seems shit when they have to work with a badly written script, I mean look at Daniel Radcliff (not that he is a great actor…) he sucks in all the Harry Potter movies but he was so funny and really good on the episode of Extras he was on

For the record. Yes I have read Twilight and seen the movies. The books are horribly written but I was still drawn into the story. The movies were a shitty remake but I generally think all movie adaptions of books are a let down. I am no Twi-freak.
