Today's Evil Beet Gossip

Congratulations!

simon-pegg1

Simon Pegg and his wife, Maureen McCann are 5 months along with their first child. After the Brit Awards, Pegg told the press that he and his wife had yet to announce the pregnancy because they’d wanted to keep it “hush-hush”. He also revealed that she is due in June and  he is “hoping for a baby girl.” They’re considering having the baby born in America so that she/he will have dual citizenship.

Pegg was last seen in How to Lose Friends and Alienate People, and will next be seen in the upcoming Star Trek movie.

  • Soleil come on! Your posts are soooo boring! And yea i know guys let me hear it “dont come here then we wont miss you” blah blah blah. I dont want to go somewhere else, i just wish there could be a decent weekend writer. And really if you say that these posts shes making are interesting in anyway, you’re lying. I mean really, even if the topics themselves are not too interesting, if shes a good writer she should be able to make them at least somewhat amusing….but she cant.

You should have left Wendie on the weekends!

    • Are you really so closeminded to think that if you’re not interested in a story, no one else could possibly be??
      Get over yourself.
I’m a huge fan of Simon Pegg, and am happy to read the news. I also think the dual-citizenship thing is cool. It’ll make life easier for them should they decide to settle in the US for any period of time.

  • why would they want dual nationality with america?!?! who are the hoping for mischa barton the second to pop out of there? jeez

    • having dual citizenship is an amazing advantage. As it is so hard to get a green card for the US, if you are a dual citizen you can earn more money by having the choice of working in America.

Say what you will about the US, in a lot of industries it IS the land of oportunity.

  • I have been a big fan of his forever. I’m only going to go see the Star Trek movie because he’s in it. Congrats!!!

  • awhh.
as happy as i am for them,
i don’t think a future parent should announce publicly
that they want a baby of a certain gender.
    if he gets a boy,
i’m sure that he’ll be just as happy
as he would have with a baby girl,
but the baby might find out later that his dad wanted a girl,
even if it was just a statement,
    the child might feel bad.
