Congrats to Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh, who’s expecting her first child with husband Casey Jennings, a fellow beach volleyball stand-out.
“I’m chubby and I’m pregnant and it’s awesome!” the 30-year-old, who is 16 weeks along, said Wednesday morning. “We believe we conceived our last days in Beijing – so I think a day or two after we won gold medal.”
Kerri had said prior to the Olympics that she planned to try to have a baby afterward, so how exciting that it happened for her so soon!

i soooo hate it when people feel the need to share when they conceived….like i need to know when they were doing it?? ick…plus if we cared we could do the math since they usually also graciously let us know how far along they are…ugh!
I kinda like that they shared that tidbit of info, Gia! That’s a cool story, that’ll be a great little thing to tell their child when he or she gets older… “Your dad and I were so in love, we’d both just won the gold. It was Beijing, we still hadn’t even left for home yet, and then, YOU happened…” So sweet!
yeah, sweet for the kid, sweet between them (privately) as a family…its just TMI as far as i am concerned.
