Today's Evil Beet Gossip

Quotables

“I think what has been striking in this campaign is the the degree to which these kind of hate groups have been marginalized. That’s not who America is. That’s not who our future is. What I’ve found is people here don’t care what color you are. What they’re trying to figure out is who can deliver. It’s just like the Pittsburgh Steelers: they don’t care what color you are, they just want to figure out, can you make the plays?”

Barack Obama, in an interview with a Pittsburgh TV station yesterday, discussing the recently race-based threat on his life disrupted by the ATF.

  • Is partly true; the other part is no one can question his qualifications without being called racist… he can’t prove where he was born.. was it Kenya or Hawaii; his college roommates, the Pakistanis, did they give the poor “Barry” the money to become “Barack” and travel to Africa, how exactly did he get the $$ for his 1st campaign in Chicago, and all his competitors leave the race…and please explain how he can be president when he led Congress with the most votes of “present”–take a stance, please! And what is his biggest accomplishment in the 143 days he was a US Senator before he declared himself running for president.
    Just saying

  • hahaha to beet czar’s conspirac theories on barack’s birthplace and his pakistani roommate funding his transformation from barry to barack. he prob initially went by barry because he didn’t wanna stand out, be too different. when he grew up, he realised that he should be proud of his difference and then embraced his name. there’s nothing more to it

  • beet czar, can you tell me where I can read up about this stuff you state? particulalrly about the pakistani connection? Early last summer, a good friend (who happens to be Pakistani) asked me if I wanted to attend a meet and greet for Obama in TX,and she mentioned her brother (or her brother’s best friend) had been his college roommate. I didn’t attend the meet and greet (I didn’t think Obama had a snowball’s chance in hell, at the time. wish I had gone!) but I also never heard anything about Obama and Pakistani’s, until now. I’m curious to do some research. Please direct me to where I can read up on this. thanks.

  • Well said Obama…. nobody cares about race. Hell, I could care less if you are a geriatric war hero or American-Kenyan muslim or an alien from Mars. Just DO WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE GOING TO DO AND FIX THINGS!!!

I don’t care if it’s McCain, Obama, Ron Paul, or freaking Margaret Thatcher! Fix the economy, fix the war, select the next Supreme Court Justice(s) carefully, end partisan bickering…

  • Lynn, it is all over the Internet, but not very compelling, because the same thing is repeated over and over again without too much embellishment or analysis. And there is one article that all the like-minded bloggers forward to each other. It is actually kind of disappointing, all smoke and mirrors. I looked for dirt on both candidates. The dirt on McCain sizzled, the dirt on Obama didn’t have too much substance. There are some omissions in his personal history that are curious, but the vast majority of the ominous conspiracy type accusations seem to be bullshit.

You’ve waited kind of late to investigate, the election is next week. Just go to google and run some searches, not hard.

I look forward to having an intelligent, scholarly man in the White House. It should be interesting.

  • Am I the only one who gets completely annoyed with people when they just throw out slanderish bullshit when arguing about candidates? jesus christ. get a better argument. the only people who wanna hear about that shit are people on your own team. try convincing someone else.

Unless it’s something insane and serious, which would have been found out by now, I could give a shit about either candidate’s personal history. I care about who I think is going to be a better president. That’s it. I must be crazy.

  • Tigerlilly. No, I have not waited “too long to investigate” with the election next week.

I have already done all my due dilligence around the deal-breaking issues from my perspective, and know who I am voting for. And a mostly unsubstantiated-being-fueled-at-the-11th-hour story wouldn’t change my vote. I was simply curious to see if specific Pakistani names were given, for my aforementioned reason.

  • You know, my brother changed from “Michael” to “Mike” after college. I wonder what his sinister reasons were…perhaps he is planning on aiding Obama in taking over the world.

    Sweet!

  • yeah, and speaking of ‘deliver’ obama, when do we all get the FREE FRIED CHICKEN you promised when visiting kfc two weeks ago? i’mz hungray!

  • old “walnuts” mc cain and moosey mooserton certainly got on the phone fast enough when that crazy girl carved a B on her own face, (even though anyone with half a brain knew it was fake) yet they are silent when a plot to assissinate a fellow candidate comes to light? i find that really odd. but then again with people shouting “nigger” and “kill him” at their rallies maybe they weren’t too surprised.

  • re; quirkygirlkitten

c’mon, that was never a real plot. if something like that ever happened it wouldn’t be a couple of semi retarted stupid assed skinheads that only had a sawed off shotgun, two pistols and a rifle! wtf, didn’t these guys have access to the first season of 24?. much more sophisticated planning. surprisingly, the thing that surprised me most is that i just assumed obama had the neo-nazi vote. shocker. i agree with you about the carved face chick though. too bad she didn’t cover herself in shit and say she was raped like tawana brawley so al sharpton could have come to her defense as well.

  • Actually, censor, it looks like he DOES have some of the neo-nazi vote. I heard on NPR-All Things Considered yesterday that there is a large portion of the white supremist movement that is planning to vote for Obama in hopes that it will fulfill their prophecy of blacks taking over our country and finally spark the race war they have been trying for all these years. Interesting perogative…
