I Know a Good Thing When I See One: “Chihuahua” Still at #1

Beverly Hills Chihuahua, the cinematic tour de force that I gave a rave review is tops at the box office for the second weekend in a row. I’d like to add that you will, at no point, hear anyone on this blog refer to this movie as being “top dog,” because we are way too talented to pull that shit. You hear that, AP?

Says a Disney studio head: “This is only word-of-mouth coming back to us from theaters. I don’t have any statistical proof. But they’re telling us we’re getting more unaccompanied-by-children adults coming on their own. They’re looking for a little entertainment. The axiom we’ve always lived by is funny is money. People come out for comedy. They love to sit back and let someone give them a couple of hours of escapism.”

See that, embittered investors of America? Your loss is Walt Disney’s gain. Now isn’t that nice?

And I’d just like to emphasize, once more, to everyone who mocked me for giving this movie a good review: I am always right.

  • I completely agree with Maynard. While the U.S does have Hollywood, and I absolutely LOVE Hollywood and many many of its creations (and would probably pick it over the indie bit) it really does NOT have good taste in film when it comes to comedy. I mean just because they get it right every so often with movies of TASTE, does not mean that they always get it right. I haven’t seen it, nor do I want to. I don’t think helping people become even more brainless helps in any way shape or form.

I thought 40 year old virgin was going to be a complete bust as well, but I have to say due to that movie, Steve is now my all top favorite actor (after Robin Williams, of course.) because it was so real. It had some really nice messages too, and some of the “stupid bits” were actually really funny (like, you know how I know you’re gay? –and the whole Hair mockery thing at the end. Awesome)

There were some other things though that were just too stupid. But for the most part, I loved it. If we could do more than, and less Will Ferell and movies like that, it would be nice.

  • @Maynard, Retard and Puberty

I don’t like responding to brainless twats like you, but I feel that your combined stupidity will destroy the internet…so here goes:

The film has nothing to do with America as a country and the simple fact that you equate the two means that you’re either insanely jealous that you’re NOT American, or just the dumbest fucks on the planet.

“I just LOVE the last comment” (girly lol)……… man shut the fuck up and get a room……………..damn Canadian fun boys!
