“The Changeling” Trailer

Look! It’s Angelina Jolie! Sad and furious and screaming about the gross institutional mishandling of a kidnapping case!

It’s nice to see her exploring new material.

In general, I like movies where it’s raining and it’s the ’20s, but I think they’re just teasing me with the rain in the trailer. There probably won’t be that much rain in the actual movie. So I’ll probably skip this one.

  • You know, I’d love to see Angelina try something different for once. When was the last time she took a role where she was just vulnerable and not super-tough?

  • usually i don’t like her acting cos it’s always so over the top and fake, this one, not at all, i like her in this one!

  • ‘The story follows a woman (Jolie) whose son goes missing in 1920s Los Angeles. The police return the wrong child and the woman is thrown into an insane asylum for disagreeing with the LAPD. When it seems that her real son has been murdered by a child serial killer and the child returned admits to fraud, she takes her case to the city council and takes down the mayor, the police chief and several corrupt officers, concurrently sparking changes in the insanity legislation.

Donovan will play a police captain, Feore the chief of police and Malkovich a reverend.

Also joining the cast are Jason Butler Harner (â??John Adamsâ??), who portrays a mechanic accused of murdering the womanâ??s son, as well as Amy Ryan and Michael Kelly.’

You gotta wonder if it is some big wig is mixed up in child porn or worse, and she will be killed to keep it quiet!?

  • I heart John Malkovich. And seeing AJ hosed down in the shower by a psychopathic psychiatric nurse will be well worth the $10 I’ll hafta shell out.

  • I avoid Angelina movies like the plague.
    Always the same character.
She is not that great people.
    Her movies always suck.

  • It is kinda sad that she always does the same movies now… Wanted was sort of different, but really not… I still like them all though, and I will def be seeing this one!

  • JUDY, if you don’t see the movies how do you know it’s always the same character? LOL

Jolie is a great actress. At 33 she has an Oscar, 1 CCA, 3 GG and 2 SAGs and more than other 30 awards and nominations. Last year with “A Mighty Heart” she was once again nominated to some of the top awards and this year acording to the critics that saw “Changeling” at Cannes she will most likely be again nominated to some awards and maybe even an Oscar. And she is, with Witherspoon the top paid actress in HW right now.

And this years she also has 2 of the most seen movies, “Kung Fu Panda” and “Wanted”. So you see this year not only she has a serious movie out capable of wining some awards , she also has 2 pop corn movies earning a lot of money. What more could a actress want? LoL

  • this looks ok, but im definitely watching it because angelina jolie and Jeffery donovan are in it, and im a huge fan of both actors

  • The first time I heard about the filming of this movie, I thought they were doing a remake of “The Changeling,” and I got crazy excited, and then ashamed of myself, because, people need to quit doing remakes…and now I’m none of those things, but I dig Angelina. She’s pulled off some tough roles, like her or not. Does anybody remember Gia? I balled my eyes out.

  • We already have a ton of actresses playing the vulnerable little woman roles. I like that she plays tough roles. Why should we fit some crappy stereotype??

  • Teenie – because it would be nice to see more diversity from one individual, otherwise it becomes boring. And vulnerability is a characteristic of strength. I’m not talking about stereotypes of weak and feeble women, I’m talking about AJ apparently only doing ball-kicking characters these days.

  • I’ve been following this movie and was really excited about it but, I just think Angelina didn’t pull it off. I’m really bummed out. I wish that another actress had been in this movie, I can think of 5 off the top of my head who are amazing actresses.

  • i get the feeling that she is acting out her worst nightmare. her child gone missing? man, any mum would be hysterical. she got it down well.

  • After Jason Butler Harner appeared, I only focused on his scenes. He was so intense. I even found him sexy.
